Skepticism runs in our blood
Why would I say that?
Because skepticism is an attitude of doubt or means lack of sureness. Earlier it was used as uncertainty of knowledge, suspicious about faith in religion, unwilling to believe hypothesis but now it has become the inability to make a decision. According to me, Skepticism is state of mind where we are not sure about what is good for us, what we want, what we can rely on, what we perceive, what is acceptable and vice a versa.
Have you ever made a decision on your own?
Only you can answer that!
Being skeptic is not a negative attribute but you cannot be skeptic every time that’s what we need to learn. Apparently, we haven’t made decision by over selves because other people made decisions for us such as cloths, food, education, life partner etc. we were served everything on plate, than even we have opportunity to make decision but we are unable find out by our own. We rely on third party (Family, friend, comrades, professionals and internet) for any decision we want to make. We live in a very skeptic world and that, who takes decision, becomes decision maker. We need to thrive for knowledge & acceptance. If you had knowledge you could have made decision on your own, such as a graduate student follows his friend’s, teacher’s & family’s guidance in order to purse for his higher studies because he lacks the knowledge and he opts for an MBA, Engineering & MBBS without realizing the implications of decision in the future. This example seems very important but skepticism does not end here as we are not sure about what we want to eat, watch, wear, drink, pursue, and make relationships do business or job and vote.
We doubt everything constantly without acquiring knowledge and that is frustrating. Some of us might have extreme difficulty to make decision because we doubt ourselves in each and every moment of life and we question overselves rather than finding out the answers. Skepticism has become part of us and we cannot overcome unless we explore more options and acquire adequate knowledge.
