Democratic Dystopia

Without mentioning George Orwell, we can’t talk about dystopia people think that dystopia is fictional, and it does not exist in real life but, dystopia is like any religion, political party, society and nation. The only difference between today’s democratic dystopia and dystopia in Orwell’s novel – in the novel totalitarian governments surveil the citizens and control every movement, in contrast, post-modern democratic country, people are willing to participate in getting surveilled. Thanks to the internet, now it is easy for governments to surveil citizens. Citizens have always dreamt of utopia while electing any government whether it’s socialist or capitalist, right-wing or left-wing, democrat or republican but, in the end – utopia turns into dystopia.
We think there are two parties which are different from each other in reality both are holding the same burning torch – it’s just the colour of fire is different.
When there is too much control of government, the community, society and nation matter a lot than the individual, often this is perceived as ultimate utopia.
Every society who tries to become perfect will attract dystopia as there is no perfect religion, society, state, and nation. Perhaps, this is what everybody wants a utopia which creates a perfect illusion for the most flawed nation.

“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” ― George Orwell, 1984
