You are happy when you are getting engaged but not entirely, as it’s only halfway to inevitable doom. Even halfway seems a long way then, think about marriage. No, I would not dare to. Getting engaged and married is different, like having ice cream in the fridge but can’t eat.
When are you getting married?
Once you are engaged, this question will pop up in front of you more than what are you doing with your life? Nobody knows how to answer such a question. Even my dog asked me when I told him that I am engaged, sometimes I feel I can hear my dog better than my fiancée. I hope this must change as a love triangle is dangerous in a relationship.
Relationship status
When you are getting engaged, you have to tell everybody and, I don’t understand why I need to tell everybody? Then I asked my fiancée, and she said this is how the world works. I can’t answer that even if I want to. In parallel universe my mind – I don’t want to live in that world anymore. If your fiancée posts on social media about engagement, you need to follow the same to avoid friendly chat.
Burden of expectations
I never expect anything from people but, not everybody thinks in the same way. That’s the reason I am wired but not crazy. People are crazy. My parents’ expectations were not enough so, I have to bear now the expectations of my fiancée’s parents. Harsh reality! I wonder when will life get easier? And, biggest beneficiaries of engagement are the caterers, and they know if something goes sideways, they have another chance at marriage. Never trust a man who says my food is the best in the world, and no one can complain about it. My dog complained a lot besides I can’t share with them.
In between cloths, makeup, guests and fiancée
Life was great before engagement as I had never thought that I will face questions like which colour suits me? Is my makeup too much? How many guests do you want? Do I look like your fiancée? Gosh! I only think about food and peace in life. If you are asking such questions then you are asking a turtle – who is sexier Scarlett Johansson or Megan Fox.
Once you are engaged, you don’t have to worry about your crush or being crushed. Now you are engaged for a couple dates, and it’s going to suck.
P.S. I don’t want my fiancée to read this.
Thanks for reading!
